Accordion Festival in Fuglafjordur Faroe Islands

We have a lot going on this year! Russian duo Vladimir Ushakov and Svetlana Stavitskaya , Alf Hågedal and Lennart Larsson from Sweden, Kristian H. Rusbjerg from Denmark and Trio HáHá og  the HáHá quartette from Iceland will be playing. Some of the biggest artists in the Faroese music industry will also be joining us. There will be workshops, concerts, sing-alongs and you can enjoy a trip on board local sailboat Dragin, whilst listening to a live accordion music.

Sharon´s Men will be playing in Mentunarhusid, Friday 23. aug. 22.00 PM.

In the week preceding the festival you will be able to enroll in a course on basic and advanced accordion techniques. The course is taught by Torild Aasen.

Workshop​

Workshop with Vladimir and Svetlanu.  They are going to demonstrate basic as well as some advanced techniques, discuss the rich history of the accordion. There will also be a Q/A session. Price 100 DKK.

On the 24th Aug. at 16.00 pm you can go on a boat trip on Dragin. Good music, entertainment and hot soup. The price is 200 DKK per person. Limited seats available. Please press here to purchase tickets.

Danish accordion vendour, Erling Knudsøe will be exhibiting a large stock of accordions, which are also for sale. The exhibition will be open as follows:

Hello! Wellcome to the homepage of the Accordion Association with the Faroese name, Harmonikufestivalur í Fuglafirði. The Accordion Festival was established and initiated anno 2014 by Sólgerð Andreassen.  Fortunately, the festival has been well attended by locals and tourists since then. We hope to see you there in 2019.
